Baby fell backwards from sitting position

My babe barbarous backwards when he was sitting upwards and hit the back of his head on the floor (it's carpeted). He seemed okay after but I'thousand not sure if I should get him checked out. I of class feel awful - I normally have a pillow behind him. I'm but not sure if this is something that happens to a lot of babies or if I should take him to become looked at

My infant girl falls over on carpet all the fourth dimension, she simply cries of she knocks her head on a toy, sometimes not even and then. Did LO cry?

@victoriamassarelli,

Yes he cried merely just for a few seconds. I heard a scrap of a thud when he landed which is why I'thou concerned. I judge he's not every bit sturdy at sitting up as I thought. Thanks for your response - the mommy guilt is awful!

My daughter has done that every bit well. I'k sure your infant is fine.

My daughter brutal and bumped her head pretty good in the carpet yesterday. I freaked out and took her to ER. She was fine, just here's what the doc told me they await for

-Vomiting

-Eyes unequally responsive

-Confusion/uncontrolled extremities

(Like if she's of a sudden confused nearly how to use her hands)

We were in and out of in that location before I even finished the paperwork. I felt silly going, simply knew I wouldn't feel right until a doc checked her out.

@Sweepy Owl,

Thank you! That puts my mind at ease!

My son has done this a few times. He did it today. He usually cries for a minute or and then simply we only have a cuddle and I sit him on my lap with a book or something. He's fine subsequently that. I think information technology'south the shock of falling rather than true hurting.

They are little and learning as long equally information technology wasn't a hard surface and your baby is acting normal I wouldn't worry but you know your infant best!

My son does it a few times a day, he at present laughs! I'm sure she's fine

Information technology'south going to happen a lot.

Totally normal. My daughter loves to stand and will fall from continuing onto the carpet and is fine. My offset was the same way. It can be a little scary at first, but you tin't ever prevent it. It's part of the learning process :-).

She'due south been sitting unsupported for months and is ordinarily very stable merely I yet never leave her without something behind her. I ready her downwardly for two seconds merely to take a picture and she lost her remainder and savage. I tried to take hold of her only wasn't fast enough. I even so feel absolutely awful, but she's been fine. She but cried for most 30 seconds. I wouldn't even recall twice about falling on carpet!
