Disney Blu Ray Movie Club Promotion Code

PLEASE READ THIS - MOST, IF NOT ALL, OF YOUR QUESTIONS WILL BE ANSWERED HERE.
The #1 RULE WHEN IT COMES TO DMC: PATIENCE IS KEY.
DMC MOVES SLOWLY, BUT YOU'LL QUICKLY FIND IN THE LONG HAUL THAT IT'S MORE THAN WORTH IT!

(1) How do I sign-up?

[Show spoiler]
You can sign up for the DMC two ways, both options will ask for your Address and Billing information and then have you select your titles. First is to go to the webpage Disney Movie Club and the second is to call (888-257-9100) and sign up.

(2) What is the 'best way' to sign up?

[Show spoiler]
General consensus is that it's easiest to sign up over the phone (888-257-9100), as it seems you have more options available for your initial 5-7 movies over the phone than over the default webpage signup method. YMMV, depending on which rep you get.

Or, you can use the website to sign up, but you'll only be able to select from the titles displayed.

In the early pages of the previous, legacy DMC thread (like pages 50-150) we had discussions focusing on a URL method of sign-ups that was awesome; sadly the approach has been fixed and you can no longer order titles via that method on the webpage. Occasionally, the URL method is asked about in discussions from people who had joined the DMC around the time was available and then stop frequenting the thread.

(3) Which titles are eligible for an enrollment order?
What about 4K? 3D?

[Show spoiler]
There are many titles that are eligible to be included in an enrollment order - many more than are shown on the DMC website. It's recommended that you actually call (888-257-9100) and ask for the titles you want. A list of all* available titles in the DMC can be found in the Spreadsheet, at this point it seems just about any title $24.95 and under can be included in an enrollment order, with the main exceptions being 4K/3D titles, anything Star Wars related, and titles that were just recently released (60-90 days).

However when calling into customer service it's very much a YMMV type situation. You may be able to get 3D titles/new releases/etc, and you also may get shot down requesting a title that you've seen 10 other people post in this thread about having been successfully granted into their enrollment orders. If one of your titles is rejected and that is a dealbreaker to you, tell customer service you've changed your mind and then call back in a little later and see if you get another customer service rep who will let you have a title you've seen others get --

HOWEVER PLEASE DO NOT CALL IN SEVERAL TIMES A DAY TRYING TO GET A TITLE THAT YOU'VE BEEN SHOT DOWN ON BEFORE. IT PUTS THE ENTIRE PROMOTION AT RISK! We've also recently heard about DMC recording/storing information regarding attempted enrollments (i.e. name, address, titles requested, whether requested titles were accepted/rejected). If you decide to change your mind, be sure to request and confirm that ALL your info is wiped clean from their system before hanging up.

(4) I signed up and placed my order, but still haven't gotten a confirmation email!?

[Show spoiler]
Be patient and don't worry it can take a little bit of time for the e-mail confirmation to come through (usually several days). If you signed up online, you can typically log in right away using the info from the account you will have just created. If you enrolled over the phone, they usually provide you with you Member ID, but it MAY take a little longer for you to be able to log in - but not always. From there you can view your account's order history and check on the status. Again, be patient. But if you don't see your order there within a few days, you can call 1-800-362-4587 and ask about your order status.

(5) I'm signing up online with a promo code, but it's not giving me the option to select the 2 bonus movies?

[Show spoiler]
When using the updated (2018) website interface, you now need to proceed through inputting all billing and account information, prior to the screen that comes up with the 2 bonus movie selections.
Note that these titles offered are selectively (and randomly) chosen from the overall list of titles, and is a timed option, so if there is something you want that is eligible but not on the list, you can either forego it online and immediately call in and have it added to your order over the phone; or pick two that are there and complete check-out procedures, and then call in immediately and have the 2 swapped with the 2 eligible enrollment titles you'd prefer.

(6) I ordered a title that is supposed to count as a commitment title, but it's not showing up under my commitment history (i.e. the "mouse ears" haven't appeared yet)

[Show spoiler]
Be patient and don't panic, it can sometimes take several days past the processing time and/or shipment of the order for the commitment to be counted. If it's been a week or more, and the title still hasn't been counted as a commitment title yet, then contact the DMC customer service at 1-800-362-4587. It is easy for them to look up your account's order history and see that a commitment title was ordered and get it flagged properly for your account.

(7) What Counts as a "Commitment Title"?

[Show spoiler]
Commitment Titles are Blu-rays which count towards your commitment of purchasing 2-3 Blu-rays within 24 months. Any regular-priced title that is $29.95 $19.95 or higher will count towards your Commitment.
In addition to those titles, the DMC Featured Titles of the Month will ALWAYS count towards your commitment, even if the featured title is offered at $24.95 or some other price point below the normal $29.95 $19.95 price. Check the fine print. Finally, occasionally there are unannounced sales of certain titles for $24.95 that also count as commitment titles. Again, check the fine print. It happened with Beauty and the Beast 3D ($24.95) before it was put back in the Disney Vault. Keep an eye on the latest posts in the thread if/when it ever happens again.

(8) Can I order both commitment titles at the same time and save on S/H?

[Show spoiler]
In order for both titles to count as commitment titles, they must be the normal price without additional offers (with the exception being Featured Titles). Usually if you're ordering 2 titles you'll qualify for some special offer, so you'll want to remove that in order for both titles to count towards your commitment. This can be done two ways, first is to call (800-362-4587) and let them know you want to complete your commitment with titles X and Y. You'll get the titles at the regular rate, but only need to pay S/H once. (Be sure to check your order history to make sure they applied the order correctly - you may need to call back and correct it if they gave you the special offer.) Second way is to go to the website, on the left side there should be an link for "Special Offers". Click the link and then select "Other Offers". From there, there should be an option for "No Offer Used", which will remove the discount(s). Again, you'll get both titles at the regular rate, but only need to pay S/H once at a reduced rate ($3.95 for the first title, $1.49 for each additional one in the same order) versus paying S/H at the full rate of $3.95, per title/separate order.

(9) I completed my commitment - should I cancel right now or remain a VIP?

[Show spoiler]
Once you've completed your commitment you have a few options available to you. Obviously if you want to cancel and re-enroll, you can do so. Or, you can simply continue to be a DMC member, where you're entitled to "VIP Status". Should you decide you would like to cancel, you have a few ways to do it. See the Cancelling Your Membership question below for more details regarding cancelling a membership. If you decide to continue as a VIP member, you'll be eligible for a slightly better "Buy 1, Get XX% off" deal, as well as other special offers available only to VIP members. By staying on as a VIP member, you'll also continue to be responsible for responding to your Featured Title, or be automatically charged for it and mailed it if you fail to respond.

(10) Cancelling Your Membership

[Show spoiler]
Once you've completed your commitment and you no longer desire to be a DMC member you can cancel a few ways.

You can call (800-362-4587) and let them know you want to cancel your membership. Normally your account is canceled immediately, at which time you would be eligible to re-enroll, though in some reported cases, the waiting period before being able to re-enroll has ranged anywhere from instantly (on the very same call) to 48 hours to even 30 days (one DMC CS rep actually said that long a wait was required before re-enrolling). In most cases, it usually takes an hour or two between a phone call to cancel and a call to re-enroll.

You can also e-mail (dmccontactus@movieclubinfo.com) and request that your account be canceled. It is worth noting that usually you'll get a response back within 1-2 days. However sometimes you never receive a confirmation that your account was indeed closed.

Regardless of which method you use to close your account, you will most likely receive the mailers containing new catalogs and feature titles, as these are apparently prepared month(s) in advance. If you've canceled your account you can simply ignore them.

(11) From where do the orders ship, and what service do they use?

[Show spoiler]
Orders are shipped from Menasha, WI (DMC / PO Box 8023 / Menasha, WI / 54952-8023).
While Check's are made payable to Neenah, WI (Disney Movie Club / PO Box 758 / Neenah, WI / 54957-0758). DMC ships very slowly - it is likely a media mail service (or a kid on a bike/carrier pigeon).

(12) Why does my order online still say "On Hold" // "Processing"?

[Show spoiler] The order in which the order status works online is as follows:
On Hold ----> Processing -----> Shipped
If you order a pre-order, it will say On Hold. Usually following placing an order, it will say "On Hold" for a couple of days. When it gets to the "Processing" stage, is when it gets harder to make changes/switch titles in and out.
If something other than a pre-order remains in the "On Hold" stage for more than a few days, it might indicate another issue (CC info, etc) and require calling in to inquire about.

(13) I ordered on days ago, but my order is still processing!?

[Show spoiler]
Before DMC will ship out your initial order they need to validate your credit (or debit card), this can take a little bit of time. We have seen order processing take anywhere from one day to closer to a week. The average is 2-4 days, depending on the part of the week the order was started. Ultimately though, be patient and don't panic if it's been a day or two. If its been a week or so, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to call customer service (800-362-4587).

(14) Does this promo code expire?

[Show spoiler]
We're not quite sure on this yet. You can join the DMC without a promo code (though we have no idea why anyone would do that) but typically you'd need to order 4 titles for the commitment, instead of 3. At this time the promo code above is still valid, if it becomes invalid or a better offer becomes available we'll update the thread to reflect that.

(15) How do the Featured Titles work?

[Show spoiler]
Every month the DMC will send out a Featured Title. Sometimes you'll get 2 in month but not very often. You have until a certain date (specified in the mailer) to contact the club and let them know you either want the title or you don't want the title. You can contact them by mail, web or phone, however if you don't contact them by the specified date, DMC will automatically mail you the Featured Title and charge your credit card its full asking price. Unless otherwise noted, Featured Titles will count towards your commitment (and we've yet to see a featured title not count), even if the price is less than the usual $29.95 plus shipping.

Feature Titles are a great way to complete your commitments. Once in a while, special Featured Title offers will possibly allow you to come in under the projected price point, and/or get an extra title for the same usual $29.95 price.

Sometimes people will get the featured title mailed to them (and get charged for it) even though they declined it. Don't panic. Just call DMC customer service and let them know, and they'll take care of it.

(16) I just signed up and when I log in I'm told I've already responded to the featured title?

[Show spoiler]
You don't technically get a featured selection when you first sign up. Once the featured selection rolls over into the next one, you will be prompted to respond to that one.

But, you can still get the featured selection when you first sign up - you just need to call customer service (800-362-4587) and ask for that featured title offer. Be sure to confirm the title(s), price, shipping cost (if there is one), and that your order will count as a commitment purchase before your order is finalized. Also always make sure to receive a confirmation of your order by email. If you did not receive an emailed confirmation, call DMC and request one.

(17) Can I have two accounts in the DMC at the same time?

[Show spoiler]
No. This is a good way to get your account(s) cancelled and get yourself flagged in DMC's system.

But, if you have a second credit card and are able to have items shipped to a secondary address, you could consider risking it. The better choice is to just complete your commitment with one account, then cancel it, and re-enroll. You can complete a membership in under a month.

If considering for use of reselling things (specifically exclusives), beware that they do somehow keep track of things and take notice of 3rd party resellers. Isn't out of the question for them to completely ban a member from having any future memberships if they even suspect using the club for anything other than a personal movie collection.

(18) How does pre-ordering via DMC work?

[Show spoiler]
The Disney Movie Club gives members a chance to pre-order titles, often times at a "discounted rate". Usually even if a title is offered at a discounted DMC rate, it will count towards a commitment (but there are times when it will not, when in doubt it's best to check the fine print and/or contact customer service and get confirmation).

Typically the DMC aims to have pre-ordered titles arrive to members on the title's release date, but we have forum members get titles a few days early, and others who have had their title delivered shortly after the release date.

(19) What if I pre-order a title while ordering a title currently in stock?

[Show spoiler]
Should you place an order which contains a pre-order on a title and a title currently in-stock your order will be split up. The in-stock title will ship "immediately", while the pre-order title will wait until closer to release date.

(20) I live outside the contiguous United States (Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, countries outside the USA). Can I still join the Disney Movie Club?

[Show spoiler]
At this time, membership to the DMC is currently limited to customers residing in the contiguous United States (per DMC Membership Details).

It's been mentioned recently that Canada (which has had a DVD DMC for a while) also now has a Blu-Ray DMC. However, it appears their prices are typically about $5.00 more than the US DMC prices. I'm not certain at this point in time if the same promo code is valid, but there is a separate thread for this.

(21) BD Packaging vs DVD Packaging, how do I know?

[Show spoiler]
Check the spreadsheet linked in the OP. For certain titles (usually animated classics) Disney has been releasing two versions with both containing a Blu-ray and a DVD version of the film, plus bonus features. One will be in Blu-ray packaging while the other is in DVD packaging. Another way to tell is by looking at the title of the product. For Blu-ray packaging the title is typically Blu-ray/DVD, and if it's the DVD packaging it's DVD/Blu-ray.

In most cases, you'll also be able to tell what packaging you're going to receive by going to the "order history" page of the DMC website under the "My Account" tab. For Atlantis, the BD/DVD combo pack's name is "BDC-ATLANTIS 2-MOVIE W/DVD". When you see BD w/DVD in the name, you're receiving the Blu-ray packaging. If you see the reverse, DVD-XXXX W/BD, you're receiving the DVD packaging. Should you ever see packaging that's not what you want, you can always call DMC and have your order change as long as its status is not "shipped" yet. It is highly recommended that all orders placed by phone are immediately verified on the "order history" page to ensure that your order's titles will be in the correct packaging. DMC CS reps have been known to input the wrong packaging. (This is another reason why using specific catalog ID #'s is highly recommended when ordering. Different packagings have different catalog ID #'s.)

(22) Do the blu-rays ordered through DMC contain DMR codes?

[Show spoiler]
Yes, they do. They're all regular retail versions - same as you would find in stores.

(23) Will I get slipcovers (and will they be in good condition)?

[Show spoiler]
YMMV. This is the Disney Movie Club, not the Disney Slipcover Club. If that kind of thing is crucial to you, then you should consider going and picking out your own copy at a retail B&M store, or plan to order replacement slipcovers because they often come damaged.

Whether or not you will get a slipcover largely depends on the title. For the most part, if you aren't seeing the slipcover in stores, odds are you won't receive one through DMC either. But again, this is highly YMMV and depends on the title. For the most part, titles are shipped with slipcovers. Lately, there has been a trend towards seeing newer releases shipping without slipcovers (even just within 6 months of release).

Please note that DMC's ability to ship your title to you without its slipcover being damaged in DMC's corrugated mailers is the subject of a lot of repetitive discussion in this thread. You can sometimes request that your order be shipped in a box when placing it over the phone, but YMMV. Currently there is no option to request that your order be shipped in a box on the DMC website.

(24) Is is possible to order replacement Slipcovers from DMC?

[Show spoiler]
This is no longer an option that they offer.
Several members have successfully ordered replacement "O-Sleeves" (aka Slipcovers) from the Disney Movie Club. Price is $3.95 for the first one and than $1.00 for each additional item.

In the past, forum members have had the best luck by mailing in a request to:
WDSHE Consumer Relations
PO Box 3100
Neenah, WI 54957-3100

enigma has taken the time to craft up a template document which can easily be edited to suit your order needs.

However you can also call in (800-723-4763) and order a replacement, just note that like everything else DMC related, your results may vary in regards to whats available.

There is a newly created thread in the slipcover forum devoted to the DMC slipcover replacement program, so feel free to check there for more details.

(25) What about cases and cover artwork?

[Show spoiler]
This is no longer an option that they offer. It is possible to order those items as well, like slipcovers it's $3.95 for the first item and $1.00 for each additional item. You can mix-and-match in regards to slipcovers, cases and "wraps" (aka Cover Art). Use the same number as you would for slipcover replacements (800-723-4763).

(26) I see an "Upgrade to Blu and get a Blu-ray for $4.99 plus free shipping" option, how does that work?

[Show spoiler]
This is no longer an option that they offer.
The short answer is, it doesn't.
The longer answer is that the promotion works IF you are coming from a DisneyMovieClub DVD account. But, if you used the promotion code mentioned in the initial post, your account is already flagged as a "Blu-ray" account rendering you completely ineligible for this promotion.

(27) What is the next FT / monthly offer going to be?

[Show spoiler]
These type of posts asking questions along these lines are frankly pointless. Nobody knows in advance the answer to either of these questions without seeing a mailer. Some members get them in advance, and if so, post the information for everyone to see. Until that happens, requests for knowing this info in advance fall on deaf ears

(28) When will Title "X" be added as enrollment-eligible?

[Show spoiler]
Looking at past history, titles tend to become eligible 90 days from their release date. This trend does not always hold up, as some get added sooner or afterwards. There's no way of knowing in advance besides guesstimating off this notion. These type of posts asking questions along these lines are also frankly pointless. Nobody knows in advance the answer to this question without seeing a mailer. Some members get them in advance, and if so, post the information for everyone to see. Until that happens, requests for knowing this info in advance fall on deaf ears

(29) Requesting/Posting catalog codes for new titles:

[Show spoiler]
The mods support this position: Asking for catalog #'s for titles that are new pre-orders or brand new releases is simply unnecessary. The only reason someone would need catalog #'s for a title that is brand new is to try and sneak it into their enrollment, which they are fully aware is not allowed on a new release or pre-order. Constant attempts to go around the system will eventually ruin the deal for everyone! Frankly speaking, everyone shouldn't be out of this deal simply because a select few think that deals are here to be beaten to death. If the mentality is such that DMC needs to be ripped off by you because "they're not preventing it from happening themselves", then perhaps another deals site is better suited to your... 'tastes' and ideas and morals (or more accurately, lack thereof)
Legitimate ordering of a new release/pre-order can be done online and/or over the phone by simply using the title of the movie. Posts made requesting catalog #'s for brand new titles will result in being removed and/or reported with likely other punishment given via Moderation team.

(30) Can members refer each other when re-enrolling via the "refer a friend" program?

[Show spoiler]
The mods have supported a "no solicitation" policy on our site. In other words, please do not post and ask people to refer you, and vice versa. Constant trolling and BEGGING to get referrals out of people, will result in being reported with likely other punishment given via Moderation team.

(31) Can the link for "Offer X" be posted?

[Show spoiler]
NO. If you qualify for a VIP offer, then you get that offer listed in your account!
Requesting others to provide you a link for an offer which you have not qualified for, is in essence a violation of the ToS of DMC [and as that equates to ripping off or scamming the retailer, this falls under rules of blu-ray.com ! ] and will be dealt with by Mods once you have been reported.
***Requesting/Posting VIP offer links is strictly not allowed.***
Earn a VIP membership the legitimate way, then you can get those offers yourself! Frankly speaking, everyone shouldn't be out of this deal simply because a select few think that deals are here to be beaten and abused to death. If the mentality is such that DMC needs to be ripped off by you because "they're not preventing it from happening themselves", then perhaps another deals site is better suited to your... 'tastes' and ideas and morals (or more accurately, lack thereof)
Sometimes an offer that is to be extended to all members of DMC but for whatever reason does not accurately reflect that on all members' accounts. As we have people on this forum who have an insight with those at DMC, these offers can be easily distinguished, and would be an acceptable use of links being posted (as everyone should theoretically already have access to those deals).
